Unifert is active in the MENA markets (Middle-East / North Africa) through a network of affiliated companies whose operational management responsibility lies with our local partners: Unifert SAL in Lebanon, Attanmiah in Syria, Asmida in Jordan, ARD in Iraq and Algeria, Samtrade in Egypt, Twaiq in Saudi Arabia and Bazargan Kala in Iran.
As mentioned above, the close and strong ties binding Unifert with its local partners is a key success factor as it gives us an in-depth knowledge of the markets in which we operate. Unifert is a market leader in most of these countries thanks to the professionalism of its people and to a successful business model which has proven itself over the years.
Loyal to our mission, we provide our customers with a balanced product portfolio of fertilizers, seeds, pesticides, herbicides and irrigation equipment used during all stages of the farming cycle. Innovation is the name of the game when it comes to our product portfolio which must meet the ever changing needs of our customers. We are able to maintain a high innovation rate thanks to heavy investment in product development. Our teams of specialized agronomists do not limit themselves to selling products - they use their know-how to offer complete solutions to their customers.
Because of its very nature, agriculture requires long financing cycles. Unifert provides efficient financing schemes to carefully selected customers, thus enabling them to perform adequately. Active credit committees closely monitor accounts receivables in all markets to ensure proper implementation of sales and credit procedures and to keep non-performing receivables at a bare minimum.

Soon after its beginnings in 1968, Unifert had become one of the leading fertilizer traders on the global international scene.
Today, more than forty years later, Unifert remains one of the major players in the international trade of fertilizers, particularly in the Middle-East and Europe. We achieved this position thanks to our in-depth knowledge of products and markets, our long experience in logistics, our large network of offices, the strong backing of our suppliers and bankers and, most importantly, the hard and dedicated work of our experienced employees.
Our customers throughout the world appreciate the quality of our products and services as well as our seriousness, trustworthiness and efficiency.
We move approximately 2 million tons per year. Products traded include rock phosphate, phosphoric acid, TSP, DAP, MAP, SSP, Urea, AS, AN, UAN, NH3, SOP, MOP & NPK's.
With offices in Athens, Sofia and Beirut, Unifert International has long specialized both in selling to public markets in the Middle-East and sourcing most of the requirements of sister companies covering the Middle Eastern, European and North African markets. It has a long standing relationship with key suppliers in Europe, North Africa and Central Asia. The company also owns and operates fixed and mobile bagging machines in a number of ports in the Middle-East. Promophos trades in rock phosphate and phosphatic fertilizers. It also supplies nitrogenous fertilizers to North African markets. Unifert France sells imported and locally sourced nitrogenous fertilizers in its home country. It also operates a bulk blending and bagging facility in Sete which covers a wide area of Southern France. Based in Warendorf, Germany Unifert Gmbh covers part of the German, Danish, Austrian and Czech markets in all fertilizer products. Finally, Unifert Group is involved from Brussels in sales of bulk and speciality fertilizers to all markets not covered by its sister companies.
